Google Web Vitals and Lighthouse 2021
We make your website blazing fast with Nitropack
What is 'Core Web Vitals'? What is 'Largest Contentful Paint'? What is a Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) and how do I get my website blazing fast? Today we explain how you can optimise your website - either with or without our help. The recipe is: Nitropack, WordPress knowledge, a good page builder (e.g. Elementor) and ... patience, patience, patience.
With years of experience in SEOand web development, we create WordPress websites with heart and attention to detail. In doing so, we sometimes get lost in the details. Even well-structured websites have many DOM elements at the end - in summary, these are all visible and non-visible elements that make up your website, e.g. a landing page. Depending on the theme, server and page builder, this can bring the performance of your website to its knees. Perfect timing, then, for what is probably the best tool for speed optimisation: Nitropack.
We have tested several optimisation tools for 1 year
After more than a year of testing, A/B testing, staging pages and a lab-like office state, we decided for ourselves to recommend Nitropack as a German SEO agency. We tested several tools, including Autoptimize and WPRocket. Despite the fact that these tools also have many advantages, we were astonished to find that Nitropack undermines any limits. Of course, because your website is not only "cached", but also loaded in the Nitropack CDN in a globally optimised way. Thus, the tools themselves are not really comparable - we did not test the WPRocket CDN ourselves.
Nitropack is an absolute must as a caching tool and thus as a speed optimisation system when it comes to optimising your B2B site or blog with a lot of content in a centrally controlled way.
Google's Core Web Vitals under the microscope
Google's 'Web Vitals' and with them the famous Pagespeed Insights have really jumped up. Where without Nitropack there were values of 15 - 20 mobile and 40 - 50 desktop, the Nitropack systems revolutionise the pagespeed of your website by 300 - 400 times. But it would be too good to be true if it were that simple in the end. Nitropack is ridiculed by many "SEO experts", and in some cases it is even discredited as a fake. We can justifiably claim that Nitropack is nothing of the sort. It is a real all-in-one caching tool that makes your website extremely fast with the help of the Nitropack servers. The technology behind it is not new and many modules can also be found in other tools. However, since these caching tools usually run on the website's server, they don't really increase the pagespeed.
The most important sizes on the web: What are the Web Vitals?
Google's 'Web Vitals' are more important than ever and you should start optimising your website for the 'Core Web Vitals' now at the latest. Last May 2021, Google started to roll out the update that is supposed to put more focus on the 'Core Web Vitals'. These are values that make up your website for Google - for us, the most important are the following website data:
- First Contentful Paint (FCP)
- Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)
- First Input Delay (FID)
- Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
You can also find these four data if you do a test for your site yourself with Google Pagespeed Insights.
First contentful Paint (FCP)
The First Contentful Paint (FCP) is generally to be understood as a measure of the general loading speed of your website (Page Speed). Relevant for the measurement is the moment when the first element (e.g. headline, text block) of your website is loaded or displayed in your browser.
Largest contentful Paint (LCP)
Your website has large and small content and the browser and the web have different amounts to load. Largest Content Ful Paint (LCP) is the time it takes for a website user to see the largest content of your website on the screen (without scrolling, e.g. your header) and to interact with it.
First Input Delay (FID)
The First Input Delay (FID for short) is to be understood as an "input delay". It measures the time between the first interaction of a visitor on your website (e.g. when clicking on a link, on a lightbox or similar) and the definitive reaction of your browser (i.e. when the browser understands and can process the interaction).
Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS)
Probably one of the most important metrics is the CLS, and any optimisation of your WordPress site revolves around this (as the other metrics are usually optimised as well). The Cumulative Layout Shift measures the visual stability of your website when it is loaded on unforeseen changes during loading.
Optimise your website properly: with Nitropack
Is your website complex? Let us do the work!
Depending on how complex your website is and how structured it is, optimising the website can be very gruelling at times, even with Nitropack. Where there was no CLS just now, there is now a huge one and the page literally "dances" when loading. It is usually the case that the mobile view is cached well and the desktop page is not, or vice versa. We therefore recommend having a professional look at it. As WordPress specialists, we create websites for our clients that are the perfect basis for fast WordPress. As an agency, we optimise the websites with Nitropack and take care of everything so that your website loads fast, is stable and functions correctly.
The analysis costs nothing. And you can benefit from our agency rates for Nitropack. Get a quote for website optimisation with Nitropack from provenseo.de today and declare war on long loading times.
